Be Committed
Followers of Jesus desiring to commit to The Church At Mon River are invited to complete these steps.
Complete the Connect Classes.
Find someone currently committed to the church to walk through the process with you.
Write the story of how you became a follower of Jesus.
Meet with a pastor to ask questions and share your story.
Read our bylaws, accept our Statement of Beliefs and commit to our Church Commitments.
Sections 4 & 5 of our Constitution & Bylaws
Have your story read at a Sunday gathering and be baptized (if you have not been baptized after a profession of faith in Jesus).
Be affirmed by our church at a Member Meeting.

Small Discipleship Groups
Small Discipleship Groups are three to five people who are growing in their love for God together.
Individuals of the same gender from within a Large Discipleship Group meet biweekly for 1.5 -2 years on the opposite weeks of the Large Discipleship Groups. They are led by a faithful follower of Jesus who guides the groups in developing:
Christian Character
Have others walk beside you as you follow Jesus
Christian Competencies
Learn the daily practices of a follower of Jesus
Christian Convictions
Read through the Bible and discuss it with others
Bible Reading Plans

To join a Small Discipleship Group, we encourage you to participate in a Large Discipleship Group and share your interest with the group leader.

Serve Groups are people with similar gifts who are showing their love for others in the church.

Mission Groups
Mission Groups are people with similar passions who meet to make more followers of Jesus.
Mission groups build intentional relationships with people where they are, meet practical needs, and introduce others to Christ and His followers.
Mission groups are designed to be decentralized. You can partner with an existing group or start a new group focused on a need you feel burdened to meet. Our Equip Class- Leading Mission Groups will help you start a new group.
Equip Classes
Our Equip Classes train leaders to make more followers of Jesus in more places.
Those committed to The Church At Mon River are welcome to attend any of these classes.
Each class has assignments to be completed before attending. Discounted books can be purchased on a Sunday morning.

Below is the normal processes to equip people with the training and experience to be Deacons and Pastors.
If you desire to be a Deacon or Pastor, please complete the following steps:
Be committed to our church.
Regularly participate in Sunday Gatherings, Discipleship Groups, Serve Groups, and Mission Groups.
Complete the following Equip Classes: Christian Beliefs, Christian Worldview, Leading Discipleship Groups, Leading Mission Groups, and Leading Serve Groups.
Submit the Deacon & Pastor Self Assessment to a pastor.
